Here we have the original virgin Linux kernel.
A few patches are required to make the kernel that we put in
splack/k for users to build their own kernels.

The kernels in the distribution are built using a script
/kernels/build_sparc_kernels.sh

Since I should document this somewhere, here's the procedure
for building the Splack kernel package.

1. Untar Linus' source in /usr/src.
2. mv linux linux-2.x.x (version number)
3. cp -a linux-2.x.x linux-2.x.x.orig
4. ln -sf linux-2.x.x linux
5. Copy the patches to /usr/src
6. cd linux
7. copy in the patches
8. apply each patch with patch -p1 < patch.name

OK, that's it. Now just pack up /usr/src/linux-2.x.x, the
/usr/src/linux symlink, and /install/slack-desc.
