Plasma Applet kraidmonitor
--------------------------

You need KDE 4.2 (or higher)

-- Dependencies --

For compiling with Debian install the following packages (maybe even more):
kdevelop, cmake, kdelibs-data, kdelibs5-dev, build-essentials

-- Build instructions --

cd /where/your/applet/is/installed
cd build
cmake .. (or if that does not work: cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$KDEDIRS ..)
make
make install

(your $KDEDIRS is where you install your KDE 4)

Restart plasma to load the applet
kquitapp plasma
plasma

or view it with
plasmoidviewer kraidmonitor

You might need to run kbuildsycoca4
in order to get the .desktop file recognized.

-- Adding kraidmonitor to the panel --

Click on the "bean" in the upper right corner of the workspace and select "unlock".
This makes a smaller "bean" available very right in the panel, click on this and select
"add miniprogramm" (or whatever it is called in english ;). Select the kraidmonitor applet
and add it to your panel.

-- Making kraidmonitor monitor more than one raid array --
----------------------------------------------------------

after first start of kraidmonitor the first raid array (usually /dev/md0) gets detected
and a file named ".kraidmonitor" is created in your user's home directory.
You can simply open this file and add more lines with your other devices to this file
(for example "Device = /dev/md1").
