Live-System is a live DVD/USB/NFS build and install tool written for Slackware(64) and Arch Linux:
- support GPT and legacy MBR partitionned disks, UEFI and CSM (legacy / BIOS) booting
- contains all the necessary to convert an installed system to a live system and vice-versa;
- it doesn't need any kernel recompile (using overlayfs);
- Unintrusive: no changes are needed on the system to make live
- support persistent data;
- ...

An optional GUI for the installation program (LSI - Live System Installer) is provided separately.

Be careful: once run, the build script does NOT ask confirmation
and can WIPE your DATA if You make a mistake or if there is a bug.
Don't use it if You don't have a recent and tested BACKUP.

Quick start: to create a live system from the running one, run (as root) the following commands:
- build-live-system.sh --init / /tmp/live					#builds the live system initRD & copies the kernel
- build-live-system.sh --module / /tmp/live 0-main.sfs		#creates a squashfs module of the system (and mounted medias ...)
- build-live-system.sh --iso /tmp/live /tmp/live-system.iso	#generates an ISO of the live CD (if needed)
- build-live-system.sh --usb /tmp/live /dev/sdx #copies the live system to USB (if needed)
