Serie is a terminal Git history browser that renders commit graphs using terminal image protocols. It focuses on graph browsing rather than providing a full Git client. Building requires rust-opt. Dependencies are supplied in a vendor archive and Cargo builds offline using Cargo.lock. Rust is not needed to run the program. Git and a terminal supporting Kitty graphics or iTerm2 inline images are required at runtime. Sixel is not supported. With tmux, use the kitty-unicode protocol. Other terminal multiplexers are not supported. Run serie as your normal user inside a Git repository. Press ? for keybindings. Configuration is read from $SERIE_CONFIG_FILE or ${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-~/.config}/serie/config.toml. No configuration file is required for the defaults. Configuration examples, schema, and Markdown documentation are included in /usr/doc/serie-/. User commands can execute external programs, including commands that modify a repository. Review any custom commands before using them. Documentation: https://lusingander.github.io/serie/
