Lefthook is a Git hooks manager written in Go. It runs project checks
and scripts with file filters, parallel execution, and configuration
shared through the repository.

Building requires google-go-lang (Go 1.27 or newer). The supplied vendor
archive is used for offline compilation. Go is not needed at runtime.
Git is required and is included in Slackware. Tools invoked by your hook
configuration must be installed separately.

The package does not install or modify any repository hooks. Configure
lefthook.yml and run "lefthook install" as your normal user inside each
repository where you want to enable it. Review hook commands before
running them, especially in repositories you do not trust.

Self-update is disabled; upgrade using Slackware package tools. Example
configurations and schema.json are in /usr/doc/lefthook-<version>/.
